Kael turns 7

This handsome boy turned 7 this year! We celebrated a little early so Grandma and Grandpa Heaton could be a part of the celebration because they were also coming to Texas for Connor's baby blessing as well. It was basically a full weekend full of fun and awesomeness! Kael decided on skipping a party this year so he could have a "bigger" birthday present from Mom and Dad and it sure didn't disappoint. He wanted a cake with a karate person, and basketball on it. Not my best, but he seemed to love it. Kael still loves red, so red velvet it was.

He got to go to Texas roadhouse on the day of his birthday and they all sang to him while he rode on the saddle.

On the 1st we went to a new park in New Braunfels that had a butterfly area, and a splash pad. Then, we went out to lunch and Kael picked BaySeas a southern fish fry restaurant here. They spoiled him and gave him a big slice of chocolate cake since it was his birthday. He thoroughly enjoyed all of the extra attention.

Elara loves BaySeas and was glad that was what he picked.
The butterflies were beautiful!

We also got to make a craft which was flowers out of pipe cleaners.

Can you spot the monarch butterflies?
Then, on to the splash pad!

When we got home we all had a nap and then Grandma and Grandpa came for cake and presents!

Kael got a REAL basketball hoop to go with his basketball finally.
It's always fun when Grandpa comes!

Kael,
I want you to know how impressed I am with you as a son and as a special young man! You bring so much happiness into our home. You work hard to do the right thing always. You lead your sisters and those around you. You are happy and enthusiastic. You work hard for the things you like. You are determined and focused when you choose to be. We couldn't have asked for a better son to be the oldest in our little family.

At 7 you love to build things. You love your kinex and legos. You love to play games. Any game! Cards, board games, but you really love sports. Basketball seems to be your favorite right now. You started taking karate lessons and LOVE them. You love learning new things. Your favorite color is still red. You have started reading chapter books this year. You have wanted to share your room with Connor since he got here. You love being with people and being friendly. You would always rather have a friend than be alone. You are kind. You are smart. You work hard at school. You are fun to be around. You help me to clean the house and you love keeping your room clean. You and Dad are best buds and you love having a little brother now. You and Eden and Elara always play great together still. I'm certain it is because you are such a fun big brother and always let them be with you.

We love you Kael. More than you will ever know. We are proud of you. You are such a good kid. I tell that to Dad almost every day.

Love you buddy! Always!
Love,
Mom and Dad
