First days of school August 2016

On August 22d the kids started a new school year at Randolph Elementary. Eden is in 1st grade with Mrs. Weber and Kael is in 3rd grade with Miss Knobles.
Eden wants to take care of animals when she grows up and Kael wants to be a karate teacher and a doctor. The Sunday before school started we were able to have our family feast and Derek was able to give us all a father's blessing for the school year. It is always a special day for our family. We also introduced our family's school theme for the year.

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of the: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Elara started school on August 31st. She is loving getting to go to school even if it is only 1 day a week. We have been so blessed to have found some amazing ladies to do joy school with who have taken Elara and I in and let us join their group.

Elara also wants to take care of animals when she gets older.

August 2016

Connor tried walking in real shoes for the first time... He struggled. It took him about a month to become a pro and now he loves shoes.
Connor has a love for finding water and jumping in it fully clothed.
The kids found a little bottle nose turtle in the ditch the other day and loved keeping it for a few days before letting it go back.

The kids started school on August 22nd, but will post pictures by itself.

Connor has become a walking tornado... He leaves a path of destruction everywhere he goes.

Kael caught a baby snake.
The kids and I surviving Derek being gone all the time and eventually leaving for a month to Corpus Christi.
When it rains it pours in Texas and we take advantage of it and jump on the trampoline.

Connor managed to flush his puppy toy down the toilet and it got stuck stuck... So, I borrowed a snake and took off the toilet and figured the crap out literally. I am now officially the toilet queen and can accomplish fixing just about any toilet problem I have decided. I think I'll add that to my resume.

Elara started joy school once a week on Wednesdays on August 31st. The kids are officially growing up.

Kael turns 8! It's great to be 8!

Kael hasn't liked cake in a while so we tried out an ice cream cake for his birthday this year.
8 is a big year for our family. It is an age when the kiddo can decide if they want to be baptized into our church and we are so proud of Kael and his decisions he has made! He is turning into such a handsome fun boy! So, of course he got a little spoiled since it's a big deal for us!
We had a family celebration this year and took Kael out to eat and also took the kids to a bouncy place, and they all had a great time.

Kael got a red rider BB gun for his birthday. It was a hit.The girls now can't wait to turn 8.

August 1 The Beach with the Days

We love the beach there is no denying it. You want to really love the beach then go with a kid who has never been to the ocean before and you will see pure joy!
We were so lucky to go with the Day's and experience the joy of seeing the ocean for the first time with their kiddos. We had such a fun visit and it was a great end to a great trip. Again, we didn't get nearly enough pictures and the kids had an amazing time at the beach with their cousins!

We also found out how much Connor loves to boogie board.

Kael's sunscreen turned him white as a ghost. We forgot to reapply the sunscreen and were there all day so we still managed to all get burned.
