2 Month Stats

Eden:
weight-11.07 lbs
height-22.64 inch
head-15.3 inch

Kael:
weight-11.5 lbs
height-21.5 inch

Kinda weird huh. Eden is a bit thinner, but longer than Kael was. And she "supposedly" came out an inch shorter than him and weighed a few ounces more. Fun to remember.

Eden at 2 months.
Here is a little bit of information about our beautiful baby girl.

-Eden absolutely hates her bath right now. She screams the moment water touches her and then it takes her quite a while to calm down.

-She eats about every 4 hours. She can sometimes go longer, but that is usually during the day and not at night.

-She likes to smile on her own time. It is a rare, but beautiful moment when you can catch her showing it off, and even more difficult to catch on camera.

-She is VERY opinionated.

-She likes to be swaddled.

-She loves her binkie and is learning to keep it in her mouth on her own.

Salt Lake City May 13-16

Bohemian Brewery (Czech Restaraunt)Hogle Zoo
The Rhino Kael looking at a fun animal.Kael sitting on an egg at the play area.
Kael sitting on a turtle at the play area.
We saw about 4 tigers. They were my personal favorite so I took a picture.
Another favorite of mine. The giraffe. The baby died not too long ago. Sad huh.
Cousin Gwyn and Kael.
Grammy and Grampy's fun backyard.
Kael LOVES this helicopter. So many fun things to do on it.
He loved touching all the buttons.

I pulled him in this little wagon all over the backyard and raced his cousins. His favorite thing was picking thousands of dandilions. The purple flower weeds came up to his waist. He loved trudging through them. Luckily he didn't get stung by any bees, but unfortunately his cousin Gwyn did.
The Wagon. He is getting so good on this scooter. He loves it so much. We went fast when we were on it together. Even I liked it. Wish they had these when I was a kid.
More dandelions. He ran around as much as he could to pick these. He would get handfuls and we'd find them all around the house and in his bed. He was in heaven. :)His expression says how much he loves picking these.

We had a super fun trip to Salt Lake City this last weekend. Derek had an orientation for medical school on Friday, so on Thursday we were able to drive up there and stay with his parents until Sunday.
THURSDAY:
I worked until noon and then we took off on the road. We arrived around 5ish and just hung out. We got the kids to bed and got to bed early.

FRIDAY:
Derek had to leave at 6:30 am to get to the orientation on time because of road construction, and was gone for most of the day. I think I got the fun part of the trip because Derek's sister and Mom took us to a petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point. It was the nicest petting zoo I've ever seen. They had these really cute baby goats, but I didn't get any pictures. We then came home and fed kids, played outside, took naps, and then we went on this short hike right by the Draper Temple. It was so beautiful. Kael kept wanting to run off the trail and down huge ditches. After this we went to eat at our FAVORITE restraunt in SLC, Bohemian Brewery. Yes, it's a brewery. :) This is the only place they serve Czech food this side of the Mississippi, and we are SO lucky it is in SLC. That night we watched the movie 2012. Then off to bed for more fun the next day.
SATURDAY:
ZOO. We were able to go to Hogle Zoo and it was so much fun. The pictures say it all. I'm very excited that we are going to live less than a mile from this fun little place. After the zoo we ate lunch and headed to our niece Gwyn's soccer game at a park. They tied 1-1. Gwyn is the goalie and she did a great job. I can't wait for the day Kael can play sports. He kept trying to grab everyone elses soccer ball and I chased him the entire game. Exhausting, but super cute. We came home and Kael got to play in the backyard, which he LOVES. He walks around the house saying "outside" all day long. He loves outdoors so much. Then, we took naps and then got kids settled and Derek and I were able to go on a date to go to the megaplex, which is AWESOME! We were able to watch Robin Hood, and I really enjoyed it. It was so fun to be able to go on a date with no kids!
SUNDAY:
We made a huge breakfast and hung out with the family until about 2 when we headed home. Got the kids to bed and crashed.
All in all a BUSY, FUN, EXCITING weekend with many more coming in the next month before we move to Salt Lake.

Eden's Blessing

May 9, 2010

I couldn't have asked for a better Mother's Day! I'm so grateful to have a worthy priesthood holder for a husband. It makes being a mom the best! The blessing was beautiful and it was so nice to spend some time with family. Thanks to all those who made it and we miss all those we weren't able to see, but know we'll see you all soon. :)

The Graduation

May 7, 2010

I'm so proud of Derek and all of his hard work. He had the highest grades in the biology department so he was asked to bring in the biology flag. It was so hot outside and they had all the graduates marching around the campus before they finally came in and he had to take the flag with him. They gave him this harness to hold it and he said he felt like a pack horse. :) His Mom was able to come to the graduation and it was so much fun and we enjoyed having her here with us for the weekend.
Thank you to all our family and friends who have been supporting us. We are so glad to have gotten to this point and to be moving on to medical school now. We love you all!

Last Post Today. Promise.

Ok, this is lame I know, but I can't help but be excited. Kael got his first invitation to a friend's birthday party. Once again he is growing up too fast... I can't help, but say it. I just wanted to let everyone else in the world know. :)

One of Great Bea's Great Great Grandchildren is Kael Bradley. I'm so glad I was able to get this picture! I am just amazed at her wonderful posterity she has left. An amazing, inspirational woman, who led a great life. I'm glad I got to know her for the short time we had together. I hope I can be like this amazing lady. This is Derek's Great Grandmother.
In this picture is Great Bea, Great Grandpa Lyman, and the little boy is Derek's Grandpa "Papa Pat".

New Flower

Well, this could be a lot better, but I think it turned out ok, and I love that it is soft. I made this flower out of left over tights I bought at walmart. Let me know if you think it would be worth it to make more. I can't decide if I really like it or not. It only took me 5 minutes to make.
Love my model. :)
