Baby Jesus

Derek's family has a tradition of having the children act out Luke 2 "The Christmas Story". I LOVED this!!! It was so cute! The kids did a GREAT job and Kael was the star of the show this year... He got to play baby Jesus! He did a great job! He didn't yell once! He just sat there quietly like a baby Jesus should! =0) It turned out quite wonderful! Great job kids!

Thank You!!!

To Grammy, Grampy, Grandma, "The Grandpa", Great Grandma's and Great Grandpa's!!!!

Mr. Snowman

From this snow a little man was created! And another little man had to suffer to create "The Snowman!" =0) It was fun though! I haven't seen this much snow in St. George, EVER! Well maybe I have, but I can't remember! So much fun! Maybe I will like living in a place with snow someday..... Maybe....

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!

Hey Everyone!!! It's SNOWING in St. George!!!! It's Kael's first time in snow so we took a picture... What can I say??? I'm the annoying mom with a camera!!! You can't see the snow in the picture with Kael, but it has been snowing all day long. It is sticking so well! The pictures were first thing this morning. There isn't too much more snow, but it is just so fun to see!

Videos of Kael

Kael has been learning so much the last little while! He is really doing quite well. He is learning how to copy our face movements and to coo. It is sooooo cute! Probably more cute for us than you guys, but I will share anyway!

Hope you enjoy the new developments of Kael!

What I Am Thankful For

I decided that since I don't have pictures from Thanksgiving yet, (because yet again on a big event I forgot the camera), so I will be stealing family pictures to put them on my blog, but won't happen for a while because I'm lazy...... Anyway, I've decided to write what I am thankful for.

First and most important to me is my family! I come from a huge family and since I got married it has only grown, and I couldn't be more thankful for them all!

I am thankful for loving parents who constantly love me and put up with me. I'm grateful that they love my husband and son just as much as they love me! I'm grateful for 6 siblings who would travel across the country to see me on a whim! (Yes, you're crazy, but I appreciate it and I love you Shell!) It was just so nice to see all of my brothers and sisters and in-laws this year. Especially because in like less than 2 years Derek and I don't know where we'll be and we will be missing you all so much!

I'm thankful for Derek's family! They also put up with me and love me like their own. They love Kael so much and do so much for our little family! It is nice to be able to get advice when we need it just down the road.

Derek and I have been blessed with loving families! I feel so sad for the many people in the world who don't have that in their lives! It has been a blessing to us to have our parents so close! We love you all so much!

I'm so grateful for being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! The Savior is the rock in my life! I'm grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who forgives me for my many imperfections, and still loves me! I know He does and He loves my family and takes care of us! Even though the road he chooses for us isn't what we thought it would be!

I'm grateful for a home, for Derek having a great job, for Derek being able to go to school so that he can provide for our family, I'm grateful for holidays so I can see Derek more!, I'm sooo grateful for friends! (especially the ones I grew up with who I took for granite "Camille"), I'm grateful to be me.... "Know that's weird, but it's true"

I'm grateful for the people I met in the Philippines when I was 16! It gave me an appreciation for so many differences in the world, and the love that is out there! I'm grateful for the people who took care of me and loved me as there own while I was there!

I'm sooooooooo grateful for Derek and my baby boy Kael! They are my world, and I love them! I'm grateful I can stay home with Kael and love him and be with him! I feel like I am finally doing what I was ment to do in this world! Derek is my best friend! I love you Derek! I'm so grateful for all that you do for Kael and I! There is too many things to list! I love you I love you I love you!

Anyway, this is just a small portion of what I'm thankful for, but the post is really long, and you all just need to know that I'm thankful for you all! I love you and I miss those I don't see, and I hope you all enjoy the holidays!

Disneyland November 2008

Big Update

Halloween!!! Kael and mom at the Bradley's for a spooktacular Halloween! There was a frazzled mom, 2 vampires, a kung fu fighter girl, a puppy, Dorothy from Oz, Wall E, a pug, and OUR LITTLE CHICKEN! What a group! It was so fun!

Kael just keeps growing right in front of my eyes! It is amazing! I really should just dedicate this blog to him! He's the one I always post about now anyway... I will try to put a few pictures of Derek and me up, but our focus has really changed... Besides, Kael is a lot cuter than us anyway!

This picture is of my boys! I love them both so much! Derek is a great dad and Kael is a great baby! I'm saying this as Kael is yelling at me and I still feel the same way! =0)

These pictures were taken in the beginning of October at Derek's parent's cabin. Mom we were very safe! Promise!

My sleeping child....

Kael can sleep anywhere!!! It's crazy! He is always doing weird stuff in his sleep! For example: Drooling, smiling, full out laughing "happened in church today", sleeps in weird positions.... My kid is crazy!

I also had to take a picture of his new church outfit! I love my little man!

Halloween!!!!

This year Derek, Kael, and I took care of candy duty at Derek's parent's house. It was a whole lot of fun! Kael was dressed up as a chicken! I think he was sooo cute! We had a lot of fun!

Kael got his picture taken with a pug! "Oh" "That's just his Grampy!"

Kael really slept through the night!

Ok I know I said once that Kael slept through the night, but now it's true! Last night he slept from 11:30 to 5:30! That was just sleeping!!! So, this is him when we try to wake him up now! Haha! We found him like this one day and we had to take a picture. He really doesn't want to be woken up!
(Look at the hand gesture)

Beautiful

I just wanted to add the weather was beautiful in Johnson City, Tennessee! It was so green and it was constantly sprinkling rain! The leaves were changing color in front of my eyes and they were falling off the trees like rain drops! It was so new to me and I loved the beauty there!

Tennessee part 2

Because Kael and I flew standby we got to visit many new places.
We flew from St. George to Salt Lake City. Then we flew to Denver Colorado. Then we flew to Cincinnati Ohio. Then we flew to Tricities Tennesse where Brian "Shellianne's hubby" drove us to Johnson City which was 20 minutes away. Our plane left St. George at 6:45 and we got to Tennessee about 8 oclock... A little over 12 hours later.
The return trip wasn't as much flying, but it was a long trip! We left Tennessee at 4:30 Utah time and got to our house at 11 oclock that night. We flew to Cinncinatee to Phoenix, where my mom drove us home to Utah.
Kael was such a trooper! We had so many sweet people who helped us along our way on our trip! Everyone thought he was soooooo cute! They wanted to hold our bags and play with Kael and he smiled for nice lady even, which was his first responsive smile!! I'm so proud of him!
We are so grateful for a successful fun trip and we are happy to be home!

Tennessee

Kael and I had a great trip to Johnson City, Tennessee to visit my sister Shellianne and her family. She is now 36 weeks pregnant and had to get her wisdom teeth out... =0( She is a trooper though! Kael and I flew stand by so it took us a while to get there, but we made it safe and happy! We miss you guys! Thanks for letting us come visit!

Shots

Kael got his 2 month old shots yesterday and we didn't like it! There were a bunch of old men waiting to get their flu shots and they really wanted to make me feel guilty for having a little baby getting poked so many times... =0) They were nice though, and I made it through without crying! Whew! It was close though! Kael was upset for the rest of the day, but he made it and we are doing better today!

Swings

Swings have changed quite a bit since I was a baby.

Janice put a post of herself and her baby and they actually looked alike.... Kael is definately his own person.... The baby pictures on the right are of derek and me...
One thing is for sure, we all didn't have very much hair when we were born...

Happy to be home!

Kael was so happy to be home and see his daddy! They got to sleep in together! So cute!

Road trip part 2

Grandma Heaton had to multi-task! She enjoys it though!

Overall it was a really fun trip! Kael and I got to visit Great grandma and grandad! We visited with my mom's family, and we got to spend time with my sister Shannon and her kids. And Shannon and I got to go shopping! What more could a girl ask for? Thanks everyone!

Nater Tater walking

We got footage of Nathan walking!!! He is doing so good! Way to go!
Nathan's trick I learned while I was down there was to climb.... You can see by the nice goose egg on his head. Sorry Shannon I had to post it!!! =0)

Kael first road trip

My mom and I decided it was time for a trip to Phoenix for Kael to visit his great grandma Sapp and his Aunt Shannon and cousins. He did sooooo good on the road. We stopped twice each way. Kael was a trooper and we had a blast!

Kael's Blessing

Kael was blessed by his dad on September 7th 2008.

He was sooooo cute! Just wanted to say thanks to: Shannon for his adorable booties, Grandma Sapp for his beautiful blanket and hat, and Grandma Heaton for his cute outfit! Also thanks to those who helped with the get together after the blessing! Much appreciated! Thanks to all who were able to come, and thanks to all who weren't able to be there but were thinking of us! We love you all! Sorry we didn't get more pictures. We were kind of in a daze!
