Every year the Sunday before school starts we have a back to school family night. We have a feast of whatever the kids want for dinner and Derek and I present our new family theme for the school year. This year we chose a primary song and got our theme from that. The song is called "As a Child of God" by Janice Kapp Perry. The line that repeats on each verse says, "The Holy Ghost helps me to know what is right." And that became our theme.
This school year we want the kids to remember that the Holy Ghost can help them to know what is right when they are faced with any decisions or need help while they are at school or at anytime.
We had a fun feast and then Derek gave all the kids a special father's blessing.
