A few days before Halloween we carved pumpkins with Derek and Uncle Brian when he visited.
Connor had the moon, Kael had batman's symbol, Elara had a silly face, and Eden had a cat face.
Derek had to work this Halloween, but that didn't stop the kids from having fun. That morning they got dressed up and we went to a local nursery and they had face painting, bounce house, corn maze, roasted corn, and a train ride. Mom's favorite part was it was all free! It was so much fun. Elara had told me she wanted to be a Mexican wrestler which I had a cape/mask for, but then that mornig she insisted she got to be Clifford the big red dog. I had no costume so we settled on Emily Elizabeth and she could bring her Clifford dog with her. Eden was a ballerina fairy, Connor was a bumblebee, and Kael was a Power Ranger.
It was super fun because their face paint went with their costumes. Kael got a samuri sword on his cheek and Eden got butterfly wings on her face, and Elara got a cute butterfly.
The train ride.
All four ready to head out in the neighborhood to trick-or-treat. We met up with our friends the Woodruff's and went around with them. We had our usual chili and biscuits for dinner and plenty of candy for desert.
The sleepy bumblebee.
Grammy gave the kiddos these awesome spider bags, so they were able to use them for their candy bags this year, which were just perfect!
