We started the trip by dropping Elara off at Grandma and Grandpa Heaton's house. Best decision EVER! While we all missed the little bug it made the trip so much easier!!! The BIG kids were able to get some good quality Mom and Dad time, which was much needed. Derek caught the two lizards. Lizzy, Igor, Seymore, they had lots of names.We LOVE blue belly lizards.
There is something about Eden and Papa Pat. They must be kindred spirits. She will cuddle up in his lap and they just sit there like they have known each other for thousands of years. It was so great visiting with Derek's grandparents. Simi Valley holds a special place in our hearts. If we could live next door to the Pinkston clan we would in a heart beat. Cousins seem more like brothers and sisters. These are the coolest, sweetest, kindest, funniest, silly people you have ever met. We weren't able to visit with them all because every has crazy schedules that just were not lining up this time. But we have plans to make it back as soon as possible!
Eden kept taking photos of us all talking. We talked a lot and it was great.
These two are so special!
Cousin Davis played with them and watched spongebob so that Mom and Dad could chat. Who doesn't love a fun teenager cousin!?!
