One thing I will always miss about living in Salt Lake City was living only 1 mile away from Hogle Zoo. What better way to get out of the house and walk around than exploring these amazing animals?! We have several pictures of our kids on these two tigers from our first days in Salt Lake City. It seemed only fitting to end on them. They added so much to this zoo and we didn't get to see all the finished changes, but I feel like our family grew and changed for the better just as much as Hogle Zoo did. It will always hold a special place in my heart. We often went in the winter by ourselves and had the whole zoo to ourselves. It was magical.
The funny thing is we never were rushed or had to see any of the shows, and on our last trip we finally randomly came at a time with an elephant show and watched it for the first time on our last time. It was awesome seeing these huge animals do some pretty amazing things. They really are intelligent creatures. We love animals and the beauty they bring into the world.
The new lion exhibit is quite fabulous! Seeing this lion with Utah mountains in the background is just amazing. Such a beautiful creature!
