July Part 2

We have been exploring our new neighborhood and looking for bugs and other fun things.
Enjoying our new van and all the EXTRA space. No more fights because Elara is kicking someone in the face. Oh it makes a Mom happy.
3 baby birds fell out of our front yards tree. We had no idea what to do so we googled and fed them. After a day I was done cleaning bird poop and feeding every 30 minutes, so I called a bird place. They said to put them in a container and put it in the tree and the Mom would come take care of them. Well the next day all 3 birds were gone... Oops... We think a bigger bird came and ate all 3... The kids sure had fun rescuing them.

The boys caught 3 gecko lizards and keep them in a cage now. Then one day an egg showed up. You can see the white dot on the picture. We now have 4 eggs in there. Kael is still waiting to see if they hatch or not.
We found the most amazing sea food restraunt. It is a small owned place called BaySeas. It is all fried and delicious! Real southern style people go here and it is so fun.
Kael finally stopped napping this summer, and instead plays in his room. He has come up with all kinds of fun things to do in his new freedom.
Kael decided on a worm birthday party, so I got to work. For the pinata he wanted it to be a worm and the number 6... Thankfully a worm can look like a 6 or I would have been in trouble! I think it came out cute.
We pulled out the swimming pool one day for fun and the girls decided to get in. We are on such a huge water restriction now that the grass is dead and no more pools allowed. We enjoyed it while it lasted though and Odin had fun too!

Elara started potty training and I'm certain it will take us 6 months to get there. She has good days and then she has really bad days. She has pooped in the toilet 4 or 5 times though so I think we are on the right path. And who doesn't love a cute little girl in underwear?!
The kids started getting ready for school and we tried to do some homework every day, but I failed and we did it every once in a while. Eden was so excited for it and loves loves to write. She can now write Eden fairly well, and Kael really really loves math.
We went shopping for things for Kael's party and had to try on this hat. He started counting down the days and would tell you how many days were left until his birthday about 24 days before it was his birthday. July was a long, but fun month. :)
We decided that we couldn't get this particular birthday hat for everyone's birthday because it was just a little too girly for Kael and Derek to wear even though we all loved it.
July was a really great month and even though Derek had officially started residency I think we got off to a good start and enjoyed our summer.
