More Phoenix Photos

 My happy girl.
 Uncle Jon hoola hooping. Classic.
Cute Uncle Josh. He is the best Uncle and the Benton kiddos are lucky to have such a great Uncle. We sure love him!
 Eden and cousin Ellie.
Elara was a trooper and got passed around. A lot. But here she is still smiling. Love her.
Dad getting beat by the Benton women in basketball. Just sad. Had to hang my head in shame. hahaha
A wii during the reception was awesome! Kael was there al night. He danced a lot. It was so cute! He sure kept up with the big kids.
Cousins. The kids sure miss all their cousins!
Brothers. I have the best and got to see all 4!

 The Heaton's at the reception.
All the Sapp side boy's minus cousin Chase who will be photo shop in.
At the temple. This was my first time in the Mesa temple. It really was a lovely wedding ceremony and reminded me how much I love and appreciate Derek and how grateful we have forever together!
If Eden wasn't running and playing, she was eating!
My happy brother and his beautiful bride.
Didn't realize Arizona had these beautiful succulents. I fell in love with them.

Easter 2013

We had a fun and simple Easter this year. The Easter bunny came a week later because it was Easter while we were in Phoenix. It was so nice of him to wait so Dad could be there. Gotta love the morning bed head hair that comes with early morning celebrations. The kids had fun and got to use their new toys and such while Mom and Dad tried to watch general conference. I think Easter should always be during conference! It was perfect!

The Wedding Trip to Phoenix

My older brother Joshua got married March 30, 2013. So, the kids and I took a trip down south to visit family and go to a wedding. Let's just say I was not so great at taking pictures even though I had my camera. I had 3 kids by myself. It was exhausting, but totally worth it.

I started the trip by getting vertigo the morning we were suppose to leave and was flat on my back for 5 hours. Not cool. My amazing relief society president came and watched my kids for me the entire time and finally it just went away. So, I threw everything in the car and we headed south. First stop was Hurricane, UT for Grandma and Grandpa's. We spent the night and then left the next day for Phoenix. We stayed with my sister Shannon. We had lots of fun festivities. We went swimming, had a scooby doo adventure birthday party for my niece, went to the wedding dinner at my Aunt's, saw my brother get married in the temple, played at my new sister-in-laws  parent's house, enjoyed a beautiful reception, slept in a bit, celebrated easter dinner as a family, visited grandparents, and cleaned an incredibly dirty bathroom. Then, we left to come home. I stayed another night at my parents and drove home to my sweet hubby who missed us like crazy for 8 days! I couldn't have survived 3 kids by myself without all the help! It sure was a fun and eventful journey.
This was setting up for the reception. It turned out so beautiful and was amazing!
Eden had to get in on the wedding nails!
Eden dressed up for the reception playing with cousins. They had bubbles and all kinds of fun stuff to keep the kiddos occupied including popcorn and juice boxes.
Kael loved playing with his cousins!
The scooby doo party was fantastic complete with a clues to solve a mystery!

Eden swam with just floaties on her arms for the first time and did amazing. My kids LOVE swimming. I obviously don't take them enough.
Elara got a lot of attention the whole trip. Everyone was happy to hold her at any given time.
Here's one with Grandpa holding her.

I told Shannon to teach Kael how to swim and guess what, he did amazing. He was floating and putting his face in the water. Of course he won't do this stuff for me. I think it might be time for swim lessons this summer.

Here's a picture from the wedding dinner at my Aunt Deb and Uncle Roy's home. It turned out so beautiful!

Isaac taught Kael how to swing! Kael had been trying hard for about 2 weeks to learn and my teaching wasn't helping then Isaac teaches him and he gets it. I guess 7 year olds know how to explain this stuff better. Kael was so excited! His face was bright red from lack of sleep, the heat (it was in the 80's and 90's and we came from snow...), and sun block...

While us girls tried to scrub the bathrooms in the home Josh and Emily bought and are fixing up we had the boys watch the kids. They made a tent for the kids to watch a movie. It was quite impressive and the kids had a blast.
The trip was super fun and I wish I had taken more/better pictures to remember it. I had to steal some from other's blogs! The kids had a blast and were totally exhausted for a week after we came home which must mean they loved the trip or they got super spoiled. Either way we love seeing family and having a good time!

Random Updates

Eden finally let me braid her hair and it turns out she loves it because it keeps her hair out of her eyes! It was such a happy day. She didn't want me to take it out and the next day she even asked for braids again! One happy Mom!
He can never be left out of getting his picture taken. :) Love that cheesy kid!
I was trying to take a picture of her hair, but she hurt her finger and insisted on me taking a picture of that instead.
This silly girl loves the swings!
This little girl loves the swings MOST!
Eden's birthday cake. I just did a funfetti cake that Eden picked out and regular store bought frosting. I got lazy with the poor girl. At least she got a 3 out of it though, or it can be seen as an E for Eden according to Kael if you look at it upside down... I'll take it.
These kids love the swings! It is so nice having Kael as my helper now. Who knew big kids could be so fun and helpful?! He is the best big brother!
The house ready for Eden to wake up on her birthday. The kids loved running through the streamers and balloons always make everyone happy.
We can't have a birthday without party hats. I took whatever scraps around the house I could find and we came up with some fun stuff. The kids loved to help me make them.

Eden really wanted presents for her birthday. And I think we did good. She got nail polish, a princess Belle doll, and Beauty and the Beast. We did a theme. ;) It was a huge fun filled day. More to come once I get the pictures from Derek's phone. Quick summary, she asked for cottage cheese and strawberries for her breakfast. We met Grammy and Grampster at Jungle Jim's Playand. She loved the roller coaster the best and wanted to ride it going backwards because "it is scary!" She also loved the bumper cars. Kael would have stayed in the cars all day. He told me the roller coaster is going to give him nightmares. Then, we went to Red Robin for lunch and she got free chicken strips. Then, came home and sang, had cake, blew out candles, opened presents, and took a nap! We watched Beauty and the Beast that night and it was a big fun day! A couple of days later we even went to Baskin Robbins so she could get free ice cream. I think Eden had a blast, and so did Kael because he's been planning out his "special day" ever since.

LOVE YOU EDEN!

6 month Elara

Dear Elara,
6 MONTHS
What a joy you are! I tried to take a couple photos of you at exactly 6 months and this is what we got. The sun was too bright for you even though it actually was really cold. You were tired. You glared at me even though you usually are smiley. Then, you decided to spit up on me 3 times... Not cool kid.

You seriously are growing too fast. Slow down just a little. I have no idea how much you weigh or how ong you are getting. I don't really want to know because then I don't have to face that fact that you are getting so big. You roll over great when you feel like it. You love being in your walker. You can even make it scoot quite a bit. Big news. You got your first tooth the day before you turned 6 months. What the heck. Number 2 is coming pretty soon I'm sure. Your poor mouth is so swollen. Just like Kael and Eden you got a fever and liquid poop right before it popped through. It's been rough for you kid. You still smile unless I forget to put on oragel. You are eating solid food like a champ, well at least until you started super teething. Now, your poor mouth hurts too much. So far you have tried squash, sweet potatoes, apples, pears, bananas, and bananas with avacados. You love the bananas though.

You nap about twice a day, but hey I'm not doing a great job at getting you on a schedule. I can admit it. Between taking Kael to and from school and the days we don't, throw in going shopping or running errands every once in a while and you get the short end of the stick kid. But, you put up with us, and you seem to be doing great! You only get up once at night to eat. Sometimes twice, but really I don't mind unless Eden pees the bed or something else keeps me up. I love having our little snuggle time at night. You are still in size 2 diapers. Lately Kael has been smothering you and Eden has been telling you how much she just loves Elara. You laugh at Kael all the time. And you are just sweet with Eden. She thankfully doesn't pester you like Kael does. We all love you so much and you bring us so much joy!
Love you!
Mom
