And we are off! Sharice and the kids take off for a couple weeks to Phoenix to visit all the family there and meet up with Grandma. We took our time and got there in two days and stayed at a hotel half way. Surprisingly the kids did pretty great. We listened to Fablehaven and played on devices.
McDonald's play place is a great way to stretch kids legs on a long road trip and saved my bacon and let me go to the bathroom!
Pit stop and a picture for Dad.
We made it to New Mexico.
Day 2 driving... Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
So worth the long long drive!
We soon arrived at Aunt Shannon's house and began a war of video's. It was so much fun to make videos with all the cousins together. We went over to Jon and Janice's house for birthday parties, food, fun, and pinatas!
The next day we had a HUGE Sapp family get together. It was so epic and amazing!
June 26th was day 3 in Phoenix and was Grandma and Grandad Sapp day!
We visited with Grandad and got the kids measurements on the wall and took off for Burger King.
Someone got a little worn out.
We made some more videos at Shannon's house that afternoon.
June 27th or day 4 was Cousin Party Day at a church building in AIR CONDITIONING.
Cousin time.
We made a couple more videos during the game day.
And we played many many silly games.
And made dresses out of toilet paper.
June 28th day 5 we swapped sides of town.
We went with Grandma to Cafe Rio. Sooo yummy!
We drove a LOT and the kids kept falling asleep in the car.
We visited at Jerris's house first and then went and visited Pinkston's!
Well, technically they are Theabold's, BUT it was so fun to see Blake and Ashley! Definitely on the must see now that they are in Phoenix! We then spent the night at Josh and Emily's house.
June 29 day 6 was a swim day with Nicole, Shell, and Jerris' kids!
Kael tried a diving board for the first time and loved it! There was a whirl pool, lazy river, fun slides. It was an amazing swimming pool that Nicole found!
I have no idea what this picture is from, but it seemed a good way to end the month of June.
On June 30th we went goodwill shopping for some Diamondback t-shirts because we were going to see them play the Rockies! We lost, but it was SO MUCH FUN!
We made some pretty sweet posters, but I don't know if we got any pictures with them.
We made such an impression we made it on to national TV for the game! They said it was, "a Joel Heaton reunion tour 2017 coming to a ball park near you!"
It was a great way to remember Dad, and I'm so glad we were all able to go and experience that together. Poor Connor was left with a babysitter with Ronon. It's hard to be 2...
