Ever since Derek and I were married we knew that someday we would LOVE to have a dog join our family. We patiently waited and the opportunity presented itself in November. We thought we would wait until we moved for residency because we have several trips planned that we will have to find someone to watch our dog while we are gone and it just didn't seem feasible. Well, we threw caution to the wind and it just felt right. It was time to find our puppy! So, we searched on craigslist and found some of the cutest little pugs you ever saw. Santa came early for the kids. We really wanted to wait until Christmas for the kids, but it just wouldn't work, so he came early and it has been so fun! Odin is now 8 weeks old. He has a fiery personality, but can also be the calmest, sweetest thing you ever laid eyes on. He fits in quite well. I thought I would regret getting him, but after sleeping on the couch, potty training (still going), chewing on everything and everyone, etc. we love him more today than when we first got him. He is finally sleeping through the night. He isn't potty trained, but I know him well enough to get him outside pretty quick, so he hasn't had very many accidents lately.
He was born on October 10, 2013. He came from a family of 8 puppies!!! That is huge for pugs. He has been so fun and there is just something amazing about cuddling up next to a pug dog on the couch. He got his first set of vaccines yesterday and has 2 more sets to go. He did awesome! He doesn't bark, but he does cry. It's pathetic. The kids do pretty good with him. Elara loves him so much she tries to strangle him. They are learning and so is Odin. If anyone has any advice on puppies I'd love to hear it as this is really a first for me. We love Odin so much and are so happy he is a part of our family!
Seriously, how do you pick from this mess of cuteness who should join your little family?
Metting Odin for the first time.
