September 2019

We started September with some good old fashioned cake smashing for all the birthday people. Eden wanted to do it just for fun.

Elara made a birthday present wish list, as the whole month of September is dedicated to Elara's birthday.
Elara's list included: (a pet cricket, a pet iguana, earrings, science kit, robot puppy, evee + snorlax GX pokemon, Poplio Plush, a New Game, a robot baby doll, stuffed animals, more pokemon, new book, electronics, and candy). Clearly she put a lot of thought into this list.

Then, fall soccer officially started and we had 4 soccer players all in RED!
Eden, Elara, and Connor were all #4, and Kael was #5.
How that worked out I'm not sure.
It was SO busy, and made Saturdays very LONG, BUT so much fun!
To make all the schedules fit, I decided to try coaching Connor's soccer team. It was such an adventure figuring out how to get a bunch of 4 year olds to kick a ball in a net, but I think Connor had fun, and I loved the excuse to be active.

Kael got new sports glasses and REALLY helped so he could head butt this season and made him have so much more confidence.

Kael's team was the Stallion's and he had Fireburst on the back of his jersey.
The SUN DRAGONS
L to R
Maleah, Nico, Ava, Connor, Kataleya, and Noah
Board games with Dad on a lazy Sunday.
Elara finally hit the tooth losing phase and has lost about 4 teeth.
Kael got new sunglasses at the dollar store.

Elara decided she wanted to have a Minecraft birthday party with her friends. So, I came up with some Minecraft decorations and games and they also were going to play on the PlayStation Minecraft.

I made her a slime from Minecraft for her pinata.
I made a creeper. She wanted it to explode with confetti like on the game, so I stuffed it with old candy and cut up a bunch of confetti. The kids were going to use Kael's bow and arrows to shoot it down. We ended up beating it with a bat until it opened up. But it was a lot of fun to try and shoot.
It took me a good two weeks prep for this birthday party. It seemed a little easier than Eden's Pokemon party, but still always so much goes into the kids friend birthdays.
The girls have been reading a lot more lately. They do everything together and I really hope they can keep the friendship they have their whole lives. I love seeing them explore the world together.
Connor is always playing and being adventurous.

The girls participated at the bike rodeo at school. Both did exceptionally well. Eden "almost" took 1st place for the entire 4th grade. However, she was missing a few key things on her bike, and had I realized before I could have made them happen. They love practicing and both were within the top 4 of their grade.
Elara was deemed old enough to get her ears pierced. It was the main thing she wanted for her birthday. So, on September 25, 2019 she got to leave school and have lunch with Mom and Dad and get her ears pierced. I believe like Eden she chose the December birthstone. She was so brave and was spoiled rotten.
After getting her ears pierced she helped pick out cupcakes to take to her class to celebrate.
We celebrated her friend birthday on September 27th. This sweet girl is officially 7 years old!
We celebrated on a Friday night so after school the girls helped me finish decorating the minecraft cake. It had to look like the exploding cake on the game. Then we added a few extra elements.
Overall I think the girl was pretty happy.
She really wanted an Alex girl, she added a slime, TNT, pig, sheep and a dolphin. Lots of minecraft.

 The girl was spoiled!

At the end of the month on the 28th we were invited by some friends from church to go to Six Flags. We had an amazing time and made great new friends. We went with the Webber's, Partridge's, and the Gordon's. Eden was SO BRAVE! She went with Dad on the Iron Rattler the biggest coaster VERY first and not only did she survive, but she LOVED it!

 Taze, Benjamin, and Connor
AKA: The 3 Amigos
Hanging his head in shame because he is too afraid for all the rides.

Eden was so brave and went on Batman with the big people!

The Roadrunner was our favorite. We jumped on it first where Kael decided he was good and didn't want to go again.
Then, we went again and he opted out.
 Girl's on Superman.
We went and got wet on a splash ride which helped cool us off a little. The wait was about an hour, but we live and we learn.
The boys went on Superman! Then the girls got a turn and it was SO fun!

Us on the kiddie rides while Eden and Dad were doing the big ones!
Eden and Dad on the Rattler! She was so scared, but did AWESOME!
Kael really loved the kiddie coaster with Dad. More his size of ride.
Eden was so brave and willing to try anything and everything and even volunteered to sit by herself when we didn't have enough Mom and Dad to go around.

 Eden after she rode Batman!
Anabel Gordon holding Benjamin, Swift Webber, Kael, Elara, Connor and Ariana Gordon.
This was SUCH a fun group of people to go and hang out in the heat of San Antonio with. We love them so much!
The first ride of the day was the roadrunner and poor Elara and Kael needed Mom by them! They struggled. Elara pulled through and decided she liked it, but needed Mom or Dad, and Kael gave up and didn't want to do it again.
