March 2018

Went hiking with my friend Cassie Nick whose husband works with Derek. I haven't been on this hike in a while and it was nice to get back and enjoy being outside and moving. Connor loved being able to walk along and sit in the stroller.

Connor loves riding around outside on his roller racer and looking for bugs and getting into trouble. It finally cooled off and I would let him ride around after my morning run and he just loves being outside so much.
We are at piano lessons for an hour each week. While Kael was having his turn they decided to play on the grass instead of destroy my van. It's nice when they can get out and play nice with each other. They don't always agree and get along, so when the stars align and everyone is happy, that's the moment I snap a picture.
One little girl lost a tooth at school all by herself and was so excited. The other really really wants to lose a tooth and is waiting patiently...
We went up on a Sunday afternoon to visit with Pinkston's. They got new chicks because all the old chickens got chased or eaten by a dog. It was so sad, but the kids were SO EXCITED to see new chicks.

We got back to work to naming them.
They have been hard at work creating "The Burrow" and Connor decided he needed to build something too and I love his creation.
I took Eden to the temple to take her baptism photos and the temple was of course closed. So sad. However we found some cute flower areas nearby and were able to snap some photos. Then, with the help of Derek and photo editing I think we got some really fun photos for her and got her announcement created.

It took a lot of work looking so beautiful so she fell asleep on the way home.
I think it turned out amazing and it really got us excited for this little girl to turn 8!!!
It really is great to be 8!
Connor has fallen in love with all things trains. He yells at the train tracks every single morning. And look out if there is a train because that gets yelled even louder. It is such a joy seeing him grow and see what his personality is.

Girls camp and Eden's Baptism are posts all to themselves. I went to girls camp on March 13-16th and the kids stayed with Heidi in San Marcos.
Eden was baptized on March 30th.

We had a lovely Saint Patrick's Day and decorated Connor's cheek.
Eden started receiving fun cards in the mail.
Eden requested breakfast food like Ihop for dinner for her birthday so that is what we did on the day of. It was so fun. We went to church and after we celebrated with breakfast food. The party was only just beginning because in just 3 more days she got to go get her ears pierced.
Eden was so brave. She was given the choice if she wanted to get her ears pierced she had to be 8 and she could choose if she wanted to or not. We thought they were going to do both ears at once and then they didn't, but she was brave and so cute. It was fun seeing her grow up a little more.

Kael caught a lizard at school and was so proud of himself.
Kael had a fun run at school and ran a LOT. His Uncle's and Grandma Heaton helped him raise money to help build their playground which was much needed in the shade department.
When he got home he built his geode he had been wanting to create forever.

It was definitely and interesting one for sure. The kid loves rocks.
We had a glow in the dark dance party one night when Derek was working a night shift.
The gift that leaks all over the floor when Connor bites it...

We washed Derek's car for the first time in a VERY long time. The kids loved cooling off in the water.

Connor is growing up so much each day and loves his food neatly laid out for him...

Easter, Eden's Baptism with visitors, and Girls Camp will all be posted in another post. Needless to say March was VERY busy and completely filled with fun and family!
