February 2017

Going to Utah and back was exhausting, so we all crashed a little on Monday before jumping back into life.
Connor and Elara always find new ways of having fun together.

We went through being sick again and again... Someone was always sick from December to the end of February.
Valentines! The kids took Valentines to school, but it was so busy and Derek was working we just were happy to survive the month. We did get fun Valentines from the Grandma's though!

Elara learned about Cowboys at joy school.
A trip to the playground is always worth it.

Connor learned how to take off his diaper and loves sitting on his potty.
With the Pinkston's officially moved to Texas we have lots of reasons to visit. Ivan is Andrew's dog and he is half Husky, half German Shephard and he is so HUGE, but so good with the kids.
I'm always finding Connor being inventive... He decided to give himself a bath in the sink. I looked for a while for him.
We found these two huge lizards at the Pinkston's property when we visited.

We decided to get outside during some nice weather and fly kites. It has become a new favorite activity.

Connor started to learn he could grab fresh produce at the store that's in the cart and the thing he decided to grab was fresh kale... He chewed on it until check out when I made him finally spit it out because he didn't want to swallow just suck on that nasty stuff... I laughed forever and wish I had a better picture but you can see some green on his chin.
Sure love to snuggle this little girl. She wanted to take a sleeping picture.

 More sick kiddos.
The dogs learned to climb up on the trampoline.
The dogs learned that Connor saves a little food for them and drops some down for them...
No dog loved a little boy more, and no boy loved feeding a dog as much as Connor.
February 20th brought tornadoes to San Antonio.
There were as many as 6 tornadoes that came and some were quite close to our house.
My neighbor text messaged me at 11 pm and to take cover and my phone was going crazy with tornado alerts and we could hear the sirens on the air force base. Soon after that there were fire trucks coming lights and sirens into our neighborhood because lightning struck a house in our neighborhood and started it on fire. It was a long crazy night with Derek gone of course.
We were all fine, but there were a lot of trees that came down around town.
