Disneyland Day 1

We left Salt Lake City around 3:30 am on Saturday morning. We made great time and didn't hardly stop at all. We got to the hotel and once we got settled Derek laid down for a nap while I took the kids swimming at the swimming pool. It was perfect. At first the water was freezing, but it wasn't that bad, especially coming from 20 degrees and snow! We ate dinner at the Jungle Cafe and called it a night so that we could wake up early for Disneyland.
Sunday morning all ready for Disneyland!
The bus was an adventure every time we got on it. The kids loved not having to sit in a car seat!
Kael had to make sure the bus driver knew which lights were red and green and that red means stop and green means go. It happened every time we were on a bus...

We made it! Kael only had a slight melt down at the very beginning because he wanted to do everything and he wanted to do it right away. I had to carry him past several rides to make it to our first ride Dumbo! It was worth the hassle because we got on twice without a wait and the kids loved it!

The teacups were next up. I gladly offered to take horrible pictures so I could avoid the ride. The kids LOVED the teacups!

Eden on small world being super cute!
The rockets behind Derek and Kael were Kael's absolute FAVORITE ride! I think we rode them the most out of any ride. At least 4 times, but likely a lot more than that.
Eden ready to watch Captain EO! It was awesome! We watched it the first day and Eden couldn't keep her glasses on and was super tired, it was almost nap time. On our 3rd day we tried again and both kids were dancing and loving it! I recommend seeing this show if you go to Disneyland. So worth it, and I loved that the kids totally got the 3D glasses down and they weren't hard for them to wear.
The first character we got to meet. Kael ran right up to Pluto and gave him a hug. It was super cute. Eden was napping by this point.
We couldn't skip out on a chance to meet Mickey Mouse. Kael was SUPER tired and you had to walk into Mickey's house to meet him. Little did I know that the line would be super long and twisted in the house. Derek took Kael and I stayed outside with sleeping Eden. I kept thinking how big can that house be, really!
Eden sleeping while Kael did a roller coaster and met Mickey Mouse. I know she would have loved to meet Mickey, but oh well.
Kael's first big roller coaster. It lasted about 20 seconds and he LOVED it!
We went to our hotel and took naps so that we could stay up late for Fantasmic and the fireworks show. It was sooooo worth it! The kids loved Fantasmic! Eden kept saying, "My Mickey!!" She would look and point and clap and just loved it!
